The inflows are the largest weekly total since October of 2025. Bitcoin dominated with $1.55 billion in inflows last week. Ethereum followed at $496 million, despite U.S. Senate proposals under the CLARITY Act that could limit stablecoin yields. The chief investment officer at a digital asset investment firm is raising new questions over the future of crypto for one key reason. Arca CIO Jeff Dorman says he believes Bitcoin (BTC) and many other digital assets are unlikely to see values increase from the explosion in the tokenization of assets. Dorman warns there may only be a few beneficiaries from the latest big trend in blockchain use cases such as the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) plan to launch a tokenized securities platform for 24/7 trading and stablecoin-based funding. Says Dorman, “Crypto really in an existential crisis now. Everything…
Crypto traders using leverage to bet on Bitcoin’s price trajectory are getting whiplash. In the last 24 hours, $655 million in leveraged crypto bets have been liquidated, according to the market data tracker CoinGlass. The liquidations coincided with rapid updates on President Trump’s push to acquire Greenland and impose new tariffs on EU countries that failed to go along with his plan. The day began with Bitcoin rising from $88,224 to $90,295, a move that liquidated more than $75 million in shorts. BTC then abruptly reversed back down to $87,304, liquidating around $145 million in longs. That’s when President Trump decided…
The Optimism Foundation’s proposal for a token buyback goes to a vote on January 22, 2026. OP price has fallen sharply over the past year, and sentiment is largely bearish. The buyback could catalyze gains, with OP eyeing $0.52-$0.75. Optimism’s OP token changed hands around $0.30 on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, slightly up in the past 24 hours as the community edges towards a key governance vote. But having traded to intraday highs of $0.37 last week, the token’s dip to current levels risks allowing for a pullback to all-time lows of $0.25 reached in December. Can Optimism Foundation’s plans…
The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission has formally ended its years-long investigation into the Zcash Foundation and will not recommend any enforcement action against the privacy-focused nonprofit, executives say. The foundation announced the conclusion of the review in a notice published Wednesday on its website. The inquiry began in August 2023 after the foundation received an SEC subpoena tied to an internal matter titled “In the Matter of Certain Crypto Asset Offerings (SF-04569).” More than two years later the regulator notified the foundation that the review is complete and that it does not intend to pursue charges or demand changes.…

The crypto asset management giant Grayscale is expecting a 1,000x jump in one crypto subsector amid “structural shifts in digital asset investing.” In a new research report, Grayscale targets tokenized assets, or the practice of placing real-world assets like equities, real estate, or commodities on the blockchain for more accessible and efficient trading. The firm says that the asset class has the potential to grow by 1,000x, and that the coins set to benefit from the “enormous” potential growth include layer one chains Ethereum (ETH), BNB Chain (BNB), Solana (SOL), and decentralized oracle service Chainlink (LINK). “Tokenized assets are tiny…
